Saunders Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    1 egg white, beaten
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
Preparation
    Scald milk and cool slightly. Cream the butter and Crisco until light and fluffy. Add sugar to butter mixture. Add egg and vanilla. Add milk in small amounts while mixer is on medium to high speed until all mixed. Spread while at room temperature. Makes enough for 2 layers of cake.
