Hilda'S Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. white sugar
    1 egg, beaten well
    1 can fruit cocktail with juice
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. broken walnut meats
Preparation
    Sift together flour, soda, salt and sugar. Add egg and fruit cocktail. Mix together and pour into greased 7 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle top of cake with brown sugar and walnut meats. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Serve when cold with whipped cream and Cool Whip.
