Special Torte - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 egg whites, beaten stiff
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. broken saltine crackers
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1 (8 oz.) whipped topping
canned pie filling (any flavor)
Preparation

Beat egg whites until stiff.
Add sugar gradually with vanilla.
Beat until very thick, then add broken saltine crackers and nuts.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
When cooled, top with a layer of whipped topping and then a layer of pie filling.
