Maple Syrup Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. maple syrup
    4 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    2 beaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Heat maple syrup to boiling point.
    Place in buttered 1 to 2-quart size round baking dish.
    Cream the sugar and butter.
    Add the eggs.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
    Moisten with sufficient milk to make a batter.
    Pour batter onto boiling maple syrup and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
    When slightly cooled, turn upside down onto plate and decorate with pecan halves.
    Top with whipped cream, decorated with pecan halves.
