Butterscotch Shortbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (part butter or margarine)
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Mix shortening and sugars throughly. Measure flour by dipping method or sifting.
    Mix flour and salt; stir in.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Roll out to 1/4-inch on floured board. Cut in desired shapes.
    Bake on ungreased sheet 20 to 25 minutes.
