Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 c. applesauce
1 c. crushed pineapple
4 c. plain flour
4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. raisins
1 c. black walnuts
1 c. pecans
1 c. maraschino cherries
2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add beaten eggs, applesauce and pineapple.
Sift flour, soda, salt and spices and add to first mixture.
Add raisins, nuts, cherries and vanilla.
Bake in large greased and floured tube pan in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
