Date Nut Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, cut up
    pinch of salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 tsp. vanilla
    flaked coconut
Preparation
    Cook margarine, sugar, egg, dates and salt together for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and cool.
    Add nuts, Rice Krispies and vanilla.
    Stir well and shape in small balls.
    Roll in flaked coconut.
