Hearty Duck And Bean Casserole(From Ducks Unlimited) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried Northern beans
    1 pt. water
    4 duck breasts
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    2 bay leaves
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 lb. mild or hot pork sausage
    1 c. apple juice
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 Tbsp. parsley
Preparation
    Soak beans in water and cover overnight.
    Drain.
    Combine with 2 quarts water in saucepan.
    Rinse duck breast.
    Add duck, cloves and bay leaves to beans.
    Bring to a boil; skim off foam.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
    Cook beans for 15 minutes longer.
    Remove bay leaves. Drain liquid and reserve for later use.
