German Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken
    salt
    water
    1 onion, diced
Preparation
    Cut up chicken into pieces (salt).
    Put in a large pot and cover with water.
    (If you want a clear broth, just add three or four chicken breasts.)
    Add onion.
    Cook, covered, until tender. Remove the chicken from the pot and remove any bones.
    Cut up chicken in pieces or add the chicken just the way it is back to the pot.
