Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    granulated sugar
Preparation
    Cream shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses.
    Mix in remaining ingredients.
    Cover and chill 1 hour.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0. Shape dough into balls and dip top into granulated sugar.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 4 dozen.
