Old Fashion Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sour milk
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/8 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream shortening.
Add sugar and egg; beat well.
Add sour milk in which soda has been dissolved.
Last, add flour, spices, baking powder and salt, mixed together.
Raisins or nuts may be added.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
