Cherokee Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. cooking oil
    3/4 c. chopped onions
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    dash of garlic powder
    1/8 tsp. thyme
    1/8 tsp. oregano
    1/2 small bay leaf, crushed
    1 pt. cooked tomatoes
    1 can reduced fat cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c. regular rice, uncooked
    1 (No. 2) can corn
    3 Tbsp. melted margarine
    1/2 c. grated cheese
    4 stuffed olives, sliced
Preparation
    Cook beef in oil until light colored.
    Drain.
    Add onion and cook until transparent.
    Add remaining ingredients, except cheese and olives.
    Mix well and spoon into a 3-quart baking dish.
    Top with cheese, cover and bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Remove from oven and garnish with olives.
    Yield:
    4 to 6 servings.
