Sopaipillas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour (sift before measuring)
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. peanut oil
    3/4 c. water
    2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
    peanut oil for frying
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt into medium bowl.
    Make well in center of ingredients.
    Add 1 tablespoon peanut oil and water; mix well with a fork to form a soft, smooth dough.
    Divide into 4 portions.
    Knead each part 4 or 5 times, until smooth. Form each part into a ball.
    Flatten with palm of hand.
