Gourmet Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. uncooked regular rice
    4 chicken bouillon cubes
    garlic powder to taste
    1 (1 3/8 oz.) pkg. onion soup mix
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can consomme
    seasoned pepper to taste
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (undrained)
    1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large Dutch oven; mix well. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat to simmer.
    Cover; simmer for 30 minutes, or until rice is tender.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
