Homestyle Mashed Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. potatoes (red)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 stick butter or oleo
1 c. sour cream
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 c. green peas (canned or frozen)
1 Tbsp. butter or oleo
paprika
salt and pepper to taste
milk as needed
Preparation

In a 4-quart pan, cover peeled, diced potatoes and chopped onions with water.
Cook until potatoes are done (approximately 20 minutes).
Drain water thoroughly.
Add butter or oleo, sour cream and shredded cheese.
Cover and, when softened, blend with potatoes.
Add milk, if necessary, to reduce stiffness.
Add green peas and salt and pepper to taste.
Place in buttered 8 x 8 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
Garnish with paprika and 6 to 8 dollops of butter or oleo.
Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.
