Pecan Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. coarse pound cake crumbs (Sara Lee)
1 c. chopped nuts
3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
whipped cream
Preparation

Combine egg whites and vanilla.
Beat with mixer at medium speed to form soft peaks.
Add sugar gradually, beating to stiff peaks.
Add to crumb mixture.
Turn into greased and floured 8-inch dish.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Top with whipped cream.
