Boiled Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    4 egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. flour
    8 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients except milk in a heavy saucepan.
    Heat on low.
    Add milk gradually, cook on low heat until custard coats a metal spoon.
    Cook by placing pan into bowl of ice water and stirring.
    Chill.
