Teriyaki Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 lb. sirloin or round steak (1/2 inch)
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except meat together and heat in saucepan to boiling.
    Score both sides of meat, 1/4 inch deep. Slash fat on edges.
    Place meat in shallow dish.
    Pour soy sauce mix over meat.
    Cover with plastic and refrigerate at least 2 hours, turning 4 times.
    Grill or broil 2 to 3 inches from heat, 7 to 8 minutes on each side.
    Meat should be brown and have a crust on the outside and rare inside.
    To serve, cut diagonally across grain into 1/4 inch slices.
    Serves 8.
