Buttered Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. carrots
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation
    Pare carrots and cut into julienne strips.
    Place in a large heavy saucepan with sugar, salt, pepper, butter and water. Cover. Bring to a boil.
    Simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until carrots are tender and moisture is evaporated.
    Remove cover to evaporate moisture, if necessary. Turn carrots into serving bowl and sprinkle with parsley.
    Makes 6 servings.
