Mama'S Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 c. regular flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. black walnuts
1/2 c. chopped dates (optional)

Preparation

Combine shortening and sugar, mix well.
Add eggs and applesauce.
Add sifted dry ingredients.
Add applesauce, raisins and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour in tube or Bundt pan.
