Yellow Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 medium squash
    1 medium onion, diced
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. butter
    Parmesan cheese
    12 to 15 salted crackers, finely crumbled
    1 can condensed mushroom soup
Preparation
    Stew squash and onion until tender enough to mash well.
    Add salt, pepper and butter in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Put alternate layers of squash, cracker crumbs and undiluted mushroom soup. Bake at 400\u00b0 until top begins to brown.
    Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
