J.C.'S Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 turnips
    3 large potatoes
    1 large onion
    1/4 head cabbage
    4 small carrots
    3 celery stalks
    3 cans (15 oz.) mixed vegetables
    2 cans chicken broth
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup
    1 1/2 qt. tomatoes
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 lb. soup meat
    3/4 c. macaroni, uncooked
    1/2 c. broken spaghetti, uncooked
    3 bay leaves
    1 tsp. Cajun seasoning
    1/2 c. rice, uncooked
    1/2 tsp. parsley
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook soup meat in about 2 quarts of water until tender.
    Add ground beef and diced vegetables adding more water as needed. Cook until almost done.
    Add all other ingredients and let simmer until macaroni is cooked.
    Be sure and use a large soup kettle. Makes enough for company.
