Lemon Cake Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
    dash of salt
    2 eggs, separated
    2 lemons (juice and grated peel)
    1 c. milk
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour, butter, salt and egg yolks.
    Blend until smooth.
    Beat in lemon juice and peel.
    Add milk, beating slowly. Beat egg whites stiff but not dry.
    Fold in mixture.
    Bake pie shell at 350\u00b0 for 5 minutes.
    Pour in filling.
    Bake 40 minutes or until filling is firm.
    When cut there will be a delicate cake on top of the pie filling.
