Tutti-Frutti Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. chopped or ground pears
    1 large orange
    3/4 c. drained crushed pineapple
    1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries (3 oz. bottle)
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1 pkg. powdered pectin (Sure-Jell)
    5 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 lb. sugar (2 c.)
    6 eggs, leaving out 2 whites
    grated rind and juice of 3 lemons
Preparation
    Put all into a pan and slow boil until it thickens like honey. Makes about two 1 pound jars.
    Keep refrigerated.
