Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
    1/3 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    In a 9-inch pie dish, combine crumbs, butter and 1/2 cup sugar.
    Press to form crust.
    Beat cream cheese, 3/4 cup sugar, vanilla and eggs.
    Pour over crust.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes or until top cracks open.
    Test with toothpick.
    Top with thickened strawberry sauce or cherry pie filling.
    Chill.
