Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 c. pumpkin
    3 1/3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2/3 c. water
    2/3 c. nuts
    2/3 c. raisins or dates
Preparation
    Combine sugar, eggs, shortening and pumpkin.
    Stir dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture alternately with water.
    Stir in nuts and fruit.
    Fill greased tin can 1/2 to 2/3 full and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
