Rich Sweet Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 egg
    4 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Scald
    milk,
    stir
    in
    sugar, salt and butter, cool to lukewarm.
    Combine
    water and yeast in large bowl.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Beat in milk mixture and egg.
    Add half the flour, beat
    until
    smooth.
    Stir
    in
    remaining
    flour to make stiff batter.
    Cover
    tightly and refrigerate dough at least 4 hours or overnight.
    Good for kolaches or pigs in blanket.
    Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
