Aunt Katie'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 sticks butter
    4 c. plain flour
    3 c. sugar
    10 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of baking soda
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda together 5 or 6 times.
    Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add flour mixture to creamed mixture and mix well.
    If batter appears to be a little stiff, add a little cold water.
    Pour into a 10-inch tube pan that has been greased and floured.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
