Turnip Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 turnips, sliced
    1 can peas, drained
    1 can carrots, drained
    1 small onion
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    2 c. milk
    dash of salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Peel and slice turnips.
    Parboil for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Drain and add onion, carrots and peas.
    In a saucepan, melt butter; add flour.
    Put in milk, salt and pepper.
    Stir until smooth.
    Cook over low heat until thickened.
    Pour over first 4 ingredients and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 1/2 hours.
