Watergate Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large carton Cool Whip
    1 pkg. instant pistachio pudding
    1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    1/4 c. maraschino cherries (optional)
    1/2 c. chopped dates (optional)
    1/2 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped
Preparation
    Put pineapple in bowl.
    Add cherries, dates and nuts. Sprinkle pudding over top and fold in rest of ingredients; refrigerate.
