Planked Beef With Fiesta Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground beef
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. catsup
1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
2 c. seasoned mashed potatoes
2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation

Combine beef with salt and pepper.
Shape into 6 to 8 patties, 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick.
Set oven for broiling.
Place patties under broiler 2 to 3-inches from heat.
Broil 8 to 10 minutes, then remove.
Top with catsup, cheese and green pepper.
Put on platter.
Spoon mashed potatoes around the patties.
Brush with melted butter.
Return to broiler until potatoes are browned and cheese is melted, about 3 minutes.
Serves 6 to 8.
