Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks butter
1/2 c. shortening
5 large eggs
3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
Preparation

Cream together butter, shortening and sugar.
Add one egg at a time, mixing well after each one.
Mix baking powder with the flour and gradually add this alternately with the milk to the creamed mixture.
Add flavoring last.
Pour into a well-greased tube pan.
Place into cold oven.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Do not open oven for the first hour.
