Esther'S Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. dry cocoa
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Stir cocoa into boiling water together.
    Mix soda and buttermilk together.
    Add cocoa mixture to creamed mixture alternately with flour and vanilla. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until done.
    Frost with chocolate icing.
