Creamy Smothered Hamburger Steaks - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 lb. hamburger
1 small onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 egg
20 Ritz crackers, crushed
3 slices bread
1/2 c. milk
1 can cream of chicken soup
flour (enough to roll 8 patties)
Preparation

Mix hamburger, salt, pepper, onion and egg together.
In another bowl, pour the milk over the bread and Ritz crackers until softened, then add to ingredients and mix well.
Make into 8 patties and flour each patty on both sides.
Panfry with lid over low heat, turning patties often.
When steaks are done, pour a can of cream of chicken soup over all the patties and let simmer for about 3 minutes.
