Fried Field Corn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 to 6 ears field corn
4 Tbsp. butter or oleo
1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
black pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. sugar
water
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Make thin cuttings from each ear of corn and scrape the rest from the cob.
Place in heavy skillet with melted butter.
Add salt, sugar and pepper.
Cook slowly on low heat, adding water as needed and stirring often.
Field corn expands as it cooks, so this will make a lot.
Cook about 40 minutes.
Add milk.
Place in 350\u00b0 oven and cook 20 to 30 minutes.
