Cream Of Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, sliced thin and quartered
    1/4 c. melted butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    4 c. chicken broth
    1 c. half and half
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 Tbsp. diced green pepper
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter until tender.
    Add flour and stir until smooth.
    Cook one minute, stirring constantly.
    Gradually add chicken broth.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring often. Add half and half, peppers and cheese.
    Heat until warmed through.
