Beef Burgundy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
    1/2 c. oil
    1 can beef broth
    1 3/4 c. Burgundy
    3 medium onions
    2 or 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms
    4 Tbsp. flour
    salt and pepper to taste
    generous pinch of thyme
    generous pinch of marjoram
Preparation
    Slice and saute onions in oil until golden brown.
    Remove from pan and reserve for later.
    Brown beef in small portions.
    When all pieces are browned, stir in flour.
    Add wine and 3/4 of the broth, salt, pepper, thyme and marjoram.
    Cover and simmer for 3 hours.
    Then add onions and mushrooms.
    Cook for 1 hour over medium heat.
    Serves 4 to 6.
