Sugar Pie(Torte Au Sucre) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 9-inch pie with lattice top
    1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
    2 1/4 c. light cream
    4 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Line pan with pastry.
    Reserve enough for lattice top.
    Fill pie shell with sugar.
    Do not pack.
    Moisten with cream and dot with butter.
    Cover with lattice pastry.
    Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes at 425\u00b0, then lower heat to 375\u00b0 and bake 25 minutes longer.
    Serve with unsweetened whipped cream.
    When pie is served warm, the filling will be slightly runny.
    If refrigerated the filling will be firm.
