Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    2 hard-boiled eggs
    4 slices bacon
    1/4 c. minced onion
    1 egg, beaten
    4 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in jackets; dice; chop eggs.
    Fry onion and bacon together; reserve bacon grease.
    Add onion and bacon to potato mixture.
    Add bacon grease (as much as you want) slowly to beaten egg; beat well.
    Add vinegar and salt.
    Pour over potato mixture; mix well.
    Heat in a double boiler.
    Serve hot.
    Serves about 6.
