Apple Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 C. 3 tbsp. Sugar
1\\2 C. Shortening
2 Eggs, beaten
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 1\\2 tbsp. Buttermilk (or plain Yogurt)
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 1\\2 C. Apple, coarsly chopped
2 C. Flour
1\\2 tsp. Salt
1\\2 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 C. Pecans, chopped
Preparation

Preheat oven 350\u00b0.
Combine 1 cup sugar, and shortening. mix well. Add beaten eggs, and apples. Mix in dry ingredients, vanilla and buttermilk. Add pecans. Mix well. Pour into greased loaf pan. Sprinkle top with remaining sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 1 hour. Can test with toothpick.
