Peach Pandowdy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. canned peaches
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    butter (the size of an egg), melted
    2 tsp. baking powder
    flour
Preparation
    Pour peaches into a 2-quart basin.
    Make a batter with the milk, egg, melted butter and baking powder.
    Add enough flour to make thick enough to roll out.
    Cover the peaches.
    Put paper over.
    Bake until the crust is done.
    Eat with vanilla sauce (see sauce section).
