Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plain flour
    1 c. cornmeal (coarse)
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. salad oil or bacon drippings
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine flour, meal, baking powder and salt.
    Add egg, oil and milk; beat well.
    Grease 8 or 9-inch pan with bacon drippings. Grease pan well.
    Heat pan in 450\u00b0 oven until hot.
    Pour batter in and bake 20 to 25 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
