Mrs. Baggett'S Light Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    9 eggs, separated
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. mace
    3/4 glass wine
    1 lb. cherries (candied)
    1 lb. pineapple (candied)
    1/2 lb. citron
    1/4 lb. lemon or orange peel
    1 coconut, grated
    1 qt. nut meats
    1 lb. white raisins
    1 lb. plain flour
    2 tsp. baking powder (heaping)
Preparation
    Cream together the butter and sugar.
    Beat separately the yolks and whites of eggs.
    Add yolks to creamed mixture.
    Add nutmeg, mace and wine.
    Add egg whites last.
    In another bowl, add flour and baking powder and add this to chopped fruit and nuts. Stir until all are well coated, then add first mixture.
    Mix well. Place in paper lined cake pan.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 2 hours or less.
