Banana Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    3/4 c. half and half
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 heaping Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 can Planters peanuts
    6 or 8 bananas
Preparation
    Mix flour and sugar together; add half and half, then vinegar and butter.
    Put on stove, stirring constantly, over medium heat. Bring to a boil, cook and stir until thick.
    If it gets too stiff, add a little more half and half.
    Add vanilla and cool.
    Crush or leave nuts whole.
    Slice bananas.
    Layer bananas, syrup and nuts. Repeat until all is used.
