Apple Brown Betty - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Cup thinly sliced apples
    2 Cup bread cubes
    3/4 firmly packed brown sugar
    1/8 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. butter
    1/4 Cup hot water
Preparation
    Butter a 1 1/4
    quart baking sheet.
    Arrange a layer of apples on bottom, top with one half of the bread cubes and one half of the sugar.
    Add a layer of apples, then the remaining bread cubes and the remaining apples.
    Top with the rest of the sugar, sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with butter.
    Pour over hot water.
    Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
    Remove cover and bake 10 minutes longer.
    Serve with Lemon Sauce.
