John-Michael'S Favorite Sugar Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar and cream together.
    Add egg and mix. Sift soda and flour together and mix with butter, egg and sugar. Flatten a small ball of dough on floured board and roll thin.
    Cut into desired shapes.
    Bake until golden brown in a 300\u00b0 oven.
