De "Lows" Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 eggs, beaten
    13 to 14 slices toasted bread, made into bread crumbs
    1 c. sugar
    1 pt. half and half
    1 c. milk
    1 stick butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. seedless raisins
Preparation
    Toast bread before making bread crumbs.
    (This is the secret for making good bread pudding.)
    Scald milk and pour over bread crumbs. Cool and add remaining ingredients, mixing well.
    Pour into an 1 1/2-quart casserole pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
