Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken
    2 medium onions
    2 gloves garlic
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1 or 2 bay leaves
    1/4 c. dry white wine
Preparation
    Combine cut up canned tomatoes, tomato sauce and all seasonings.
    Brown chicken in 1/4 cup oil.
    Remove chicken; cook onions and garlic until tender.
    Return chicken to pan; add sauce and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
    Add wine; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings.
