Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
1 tsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 c. buttermilk
6 Tbsp. grated onion

Preparation

Sift together dry ingredients; beat egg.
Add buttermilk and onion.
Add to dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Drop by tablespoonful into hot grease.
When done, they will float.
Drain on paper towels.
