Peanut Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. white corn syrup
1 c. water
1 lb. raw peanuts (approximately 2 1/2 c.)
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. red food coloring
Preparation

Bring sugar, white corn syrup, water and salt to boil.
Add peanuts and coloring.
Cook until reaches hard ball stage.
Remove from fire.
Add butter or margarine and beat until smooth.
Spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Cut in squares.
May also be dropped from tablespoon onto waxed paper for varying shapes.
